Lacking consistent support, guidance, or reliable resources

Why Georgia Peach
Maternity Home?
We offer something very rare in Southern Georgia.
Georgia Peach operates from a licensed 11-bedroom residence designed for healing, not institutional living. Mothers have private bedrooms, shared community spaces, and room to build stability in an environment that feels like home — not a shelter.
Most programs end at delivery. Georgia Peach supports mothers from pregnancy through six to twelve months postpartum, recognizing that recovery, bonding, and growth continue long after birth.
Housing is just the beginning. Our model integrates parenting education, prenatal and postpartum care navigation, emotional wellness, and life and job skills into daily life — reducing barriers and strengthening outcomes.
Georgia Peach operates with structure and support — not control or judgment. Mothers are treated as partners in their journey, with voice, agency, and space to grow into confident, capable parents.
Created with Black mothers and rural women in mind, our approach is rooted in cultural understanding, empathy, and healing from historical and systemic harm.
Georgia Peach is one of the few residential maternity programs outside metro Atlanta — serving Southeast Georgia, where access to care and housing support is limited and the need is urgent.
Georgia Peach supports first-time mothers at risk of system involvement due to housing instability.
The Georgia Peach model rooted in care, not control — and it’s working. One mother, one baby, one strong start at a time.
